How to Use the Wick Hole Punch Tool for Silicone Molds

Take the guesswork out of candle-making with thiseasy-to-use tool designed for silicone molds. Follow these simple steps tocreate a wick hole and secure your wick before pouring.

Step 1: Prepare Your Mold

Turn your silicone candle mold upside down so the base isfacing up. Make sure the mold is clean and dry.

Step 2: Punch the Hole

Position the Wick Hole Punch Tool where you’d like thewick to exit the base of the mold. Gently but firmly push or twist the toolthrough the silicone to create a clean hole. 

Step 3: Insert the Wick

Thread your wick through the newly made hole from thebottom of the mold to the top.

Step 4: Seal the Base

To prevent wax from leaking, seal the hole around thewick at the base of the mold using mold sealer or a small piece of soft putty. 

Step 5: Secure the Wick at the Top

Use a wick bar, skewer, or clip to hold the wick taut andupright at the top of the mold.

Step 6: Pour Your Wax

Once the wick is secured, you’re ready to pour your wax.Let it cool completely before demolding.
