Description
Using silicone molds for melt-and-pour soap or candle making is straightforward:
- Prepare your melt-and-pour soap or candle wax according to the recipe or instructions.
- Ensure your silicone mold is clean and dry. Optionally, you can spray the mold with rubbing or isopropyl alcohol to help release air bubbles and improve the finish.
- Pour the melted soap or wax carefully into the silicone mold, ensuring it fills each cavity evenly.
- Allow the soap or wax to cool and harden completely. This usually takes a few hours, depending on the size and thickness of your creations.
- Once cooled and solidified, gently flex the silicone mold to release the soap bars or candles. If needed, you can carefully push from the bottom of each cavity to help release them.
- Trim any excess from the edges if necessary, and your finished products are ready to use or package.
Remember to always follow safety precautions when working with hot wax or soap, and ensure proper ventilation in your workspace.
