Dipropylene Glycol LO (DPG LO) is a Fragrance and Perfume Grade organic chemical compound that is found in most fragrances, perfumes and scent based products.It is used as a solvent to bind and carry essential oils or fragrances and allow them to be used in making incense products.
Instructions For Making Incense:
Incense: 2 parts Dipropylene Glycol to 1 part Essential Oil or Fragrance Oil
Mix the Dipropylene Glycol with your desired fragrance or essential oil.
Pour into appropriate container.Soak incense sticks or cones in fragrance mixture for 24 hours.
Cones are easy to find appropriate container but depending on length of sticks we find an inexpensive cookie sheet, tin foil pan or plastic tote with lid works well.
After soaking, pour unused fragrance into an HDPE bottle and mark as it can be used again later to make scent more incense.
Lay the cones or sticks out on a drying rack or hand to dry.Place paper towel under to catch any drips that may fall off in the beginning of the drying process.
Be sure to let sticks dry completely!
Once fully dry they are ready to use, give as gifts or sell. Enjoy
