Cream Starter Base

Description

The Cream Starter Base is a thick emulsifier starter base designed for easy customization in lotion and cream formulations. It provides a solid foundation that can be tailored to your preferences by incorporating additional oils, vitamins, proteins, and water or floral water until you achieve the desired consistency.

Since the base is composed of emulsifying waxes, distilled water, and a preservative, it may initially have a lumpy, thick texture until the other ingredients are fully incorporated. To achieve a smooth, even consistency, we recommend placing the base in a bowl or container, adding your selected ingredients, and using an immersion or electric hand mixer. No additional heating of the base is required.Depending on the ingredients you add, you can incorporate up to 50% additional ingredients, but the overall stability will depend on whether the ingredients are oil-soluble or water-soluble, as well as the viscosity you’re aiming for. For oil-soluble ingredients, we recommend keeping the oil content to no more than 30%. While you can experiment with higher oil content, the outcome will vary based on the types of oils you choose. We suggest starting with a lower percentage and adjusting to create your own unique formulation.
